Keep It Flowing
Visiting Napa and Sonoma on a great sunny day proved to be a good idea. This is a statue of St. Francis at a vineyard of the same name. We visited several wineries along the Valley of the Moon, and most stepped up to the national reputation they have earned. But for those of you that know nothing about wine, it doesn't really matter. You can ask for the sampler menu and for $5 you get to try 5 wines or more. They will even start you off with white and lead you into the reds. But don't be afraid to choose your own order. If you are more familiar with wine, then you will likely enjoy the vineyards a lot more, since you will be able to taste some of the hidden flavors in each wine. Here, St. Francis seems to be reaching for his wine cup. Hey, even statues deserve some nice wine on a day like this.
