David y Goliat...sort of/mas o menos

Aqui estamos el David Peterson y Goliat...okay, am not so Goliath-like in front of David...but we will keep the slingshots at a distance! Austin was a great time had by all...and at this point...we had been out under the sun (el sol es para todos!), and after such a long day, everyone just wanted to grab a nice cold drink and hang out in an outdoor patio...recovery mode! salu2 de tejas

Within Austin's City Limits

El festival de musica de ACL estuvo perron. Aqui estamos en el ultimo dia del festival.

In the background you can see the changing city skyline, which in a couple of years, if not months, will likely be adding several new landmarks. Clearly, business is booming, as cranes are everywhere to be seen.

ACL is held at Zilker Park, which has several creeks that run through it. And we certainly took advantage of one, which we all jumped into and swam in for a bit.

La Caravana Tejana

O sea, muchos nos dudaron, pero aunque algunos grupos y conjuntos faltaron (hmmm...a. winehouse, white stripes...), it didn't really matter. For those of us that made it to Austin, TX for ACL, we got some full-on solar rays and some kick-ass great musica! Aqui estamos con la caravana Tejana, trying to stay hydrated, and keepin' it movin' - from stage to stage, and from shade to shade! Okay, so the shade part was a little more difficult for the group to find...Cheers!

Viva Austin Tejas!

So they said we couldn't do it. And it turns out we got it done in style. Late this summer, a small group of former Fulbrighters from Mexico City (circa 2004-2005) decided to relive some old chilango-inspired antics north of the border. Here, we have David, Jaclyn and yo within Austin City Limits. Now that I think about it, we probably spent our entire time within the city limits! We were in full compliance! Salud!
