Chicks That Make You Go...hmmm

Ahora quien podra ayudarnos? [Enter Chapulin Colorado - Stage Right]

The Taj Mahal

This is actually just supposed to be a picture of the building in the back, but somehow this couple worked their way into the picture!!! Actually, this is the famous dynamic duo from Austin, Texas via Valparaiso, Zacatecas...wait, actually, Valparaiso, Chile, wait, no, oh yeah, it's the other Valparaiso in Indiana! Anyway, they ended up going south by southwest and ended up really south in South Asia!! Congrats Jaclyn and Dario! Salu2!

Voy En Camino

I took this picture at the National Portrait Gallery the last time I was in DC in February-March 2007. I wan't sure who was "coming," whether it was the buffalo or the bearded dude in the picture. I just remember thinking that I was on my way too, wherever there was.

Fallen

As a native Southern Californian, it gives me pleasure to see that the Sierra Nevada is such an abundant source of water for all of California.
I still remember seeing snowflakes for the first time when my parents took my siblings and me to Lake Tahoe way back in 1987.
I remember standing off the side of the road by Emerald Bay, and seeing chipmunks come up to me, and then feeling the snow coming down on my forehead and open palms!
I snapped this picture at Heavenly resort in Lake Tahoe. I was adjusting my gloves and stared at these logs. I wondered how long they had been in that position. Viva Tahoe!

Bienvenidos a Nevada

Some people questioned by credentials as a clandestine border crosser, and although I rarely engage in public documentation of my cross-border transactions, in my genuine respect for the State of Nevada, I knew it was appropriate to snap this photo as I moved myself across the state border and into Nevada on a pair of skiis.

Yeee - HA!

Bienvenidos a la capital estadounidense...Washington, D.C. Sometimes when you represent the West Coast and you arrive in DC, you have to do so in style, and in the right form. When I saw this sculpture outside the National Portrait Gallery in DC, I knew this is how most East Coast folks viewed those of us from the Wild Wild West!!

Vamos a la Playa

Vamos a la playa. Si, it's all about the beach. Living in Southern California gives you the option of staying near land at all times, but every once in a while it's okay to slide down and let your toes touch the waters, the Pacific Ocean waters that is. Oh yeah, and it's not bad to have some sand-foot contact every now and then. Again, there's something about palm trees in the background that is just so very California....
