Between a Rock & a Hard Place
The rocks around Lake Tahoe seem like pebbles from afar, but when you get closer you realize that giants must have tossed them around for our enjoyment. Nowadays, these rocks aren't going anywhere soon, unless of course a good ol' California earthquake hits Lake Tahoe. But that is unlikely since the San Andreas fault is closer to San Francisco. The only drawback of Lake Tahoe is that California has to share it with Nevada. But then again, because Nevada is so close, Tahoe visitors and residents can do some gambling on the side. And that is why visiting Tahoe puts you between a rock & a hard place, the casinos that is!
