Whip It, Whip It Good

This statue in downtown San Jose represents one angle of Costa Rican culture. The Ticos, as Costa Ricans are known, are very industrious in their own way. Although CR is not a rich country, the people do what they can with what they have. Now that ecotourism is booming, there is a newfound appreciation for the environment and the waste disposal policies that are needed to maintain it.
