agustin lara en veracruz
This is a statuette of the famous Mexican composer and pianist, Agustin Lara. This statuette was outside the lavatories in an historic hotel restaurant in downtown Veracruz, Mr. Lara's hometown. If you have the opportunity, look up this guy's music. It's a little Sinatra, some Manzanero and classically mexican. He composed a song in honor of the Spanish city of Grenada. Today, the city of Grenada, in its attempt to show gratitude, has an annual music festival in honor of Agustin Lara.
