mexico city gridlock

This is typical gridlock, aka as stop and go traffic on the Periferico, which is sort of like a beltway/turnpike that goes around the city. I would call it a freeway, but clearly there is no free way on these lanes!  Posted by Hello

In the UK they're called Ring Roads, in Paris, they call it "la périphérique" (and is just as congested) and further north in Belgium it's called "le Ring"!
